You’ve probably seen that cringeworthy ad for the Chevrolet Cruze by now. Sorry, the all-new Chevrolet Cruze! Yeah, whatever.
It features “real people” who get shown the car and then give their honest reactions in the form of emojis. It is, of course, too good to be true.
Perhaps these are real people, but their reactions still feel utterly disingenuous. And editing means nothing negative is ever going to make it into the final cut.
This video changes all of that, with one YouTuber inserting himself into the ad. He’s a little bit more honest than the people in the actual advert. Because he’s real and doesn’t give a shit.
