Christian Bale has gone above and beyond by visiting the memorial to the victims of the Aurora shooting.
Bale, the star of The Dark Knight Rises took time out of promoting the movie to visit Aurora, lay flowers at the memorial, and speak to hospitalized victims and their families.
This is a big deal for Bale, as he couldn’t have been sure what sort of reception he’d get at the memorial. After all he stars in the film which was showing when the shooter James Holmes attacked.
Bale has had some bad press in recent years, but he is clearly an emotional and passionate person, and it’s just how that side of him shows itself. On this occasion it’s shown him in a good light.
