The eighties TV show American Gladiators has made a comeback, and has been the subject of a few parodies. For those of you who didn’t watch back in the early days, here is a clip from the real thing that rivals the parodies in comedic value.

Here we have an announcer asking pretty boy gladiator Malibu about a hard hit he took recently. He responds in true surfer dude style. He kind of reminds me of Sean Penn’s Character in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, only much more muscular.

I have no doubt that he wasn’t injured in the least. The air in his head surely slowed down his fall, and his big hair would have cushioned him when he hit the ground.
