‘Color’ App Video | New Proximity-Based Social Networking Tool Which Shares Photos

28 sec read

Color is a new social networking app available for iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch) and Android devices. It brings photo sharing to the random masses, literally.

I can see why there would be interest, both from investors and smartphone users, in Color.

Photo sharing is huge, as evidenced by the likes of Facebook and Flickr, and location-based services such as Foursquare and Gowalla are also popular. Color would seem to combine the two and wrap them up in a layer of social networking.

However, the fact that you’re connecting an sharing with strangers seems a little creepy, and is Color really worth $41 million in startup funding? The team behind the app have a good track record but that unfortunately doesn’t prove anything.

Can we legitimately refer to a Tech Bubble now?
