Technically, Camp Quest was set up “to encourage skepticism and critical thinking.” Still, it’s a known fact that most of the parents that send their kids to this camp are Atheist.

While the reporter in the news clip likes to make the camp seem “controversial,” I’m sure there are tons of like-minded people who would disagree. We have so many Christian camps out there that I just don’t see why this wasn’t thought of before.

When it boils down to it, kids are pretty gullible. If they weren’t, after all, there wouldn’t be any Easter bunny, Santa Claus, or imaginary closet monsters left. Logic and rational thinking, on the other hand, isn’t really taught in grade school.

In the same token, a lot of adults are also gullible. If they weren’t, after all, there wouldn’t be any scam artists, snake oil salesmen, and internet thieves left. If anything, I’m jealous that these kids are being taught to evaluate and question the beliefs of themselves and others at such a young age.
