We’ve seen atheists offending Christian groups with their sacrilegious billboards, but I’ve never known of a church offending its flock.

But St Mathews Church in Auckland, New Zealand, did just that when they erected a “humorous” billboard for Christmas. But not everyone in the neighborhood enjoyed the joke.

The suggestion that Joseph would have struggled to satisfy Mary after she was touched by the hand of God is a little out there. And probably true.

Is it just me, or does it seem like many religious groups need to find their sense of humor? Thank goodness there are churches like St Mathews who don’t take life too seriously!
