I’m a bit of a music nerd, so I was delighted to find this fantastic musical alphabet ad used to promote The Observer Music Monthly.
It takes us on a musical journey from A to Z, or Abba to Zappa if you prefer, with several iconic musos featured at every letter.
This is so cleverly done, with the figures morphing quickly from one band to the next. My favorites were the little cartoon members of Queen who lose their clothes to become the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
These animated representations are spot-on, but even dedicated music buffs will struggle to name all the stars. I had to watch it several times, and I still didn’t catch them all. Can you do better?
