It’s not quite as warm and fuzzy as the Free Hugs campaign, but I have to give this New Yorker an A for effort. He rides about the city dispensing free high fives.

The cyclist high fives other New York residents as they’re waiting for taxis. It’s a lovely idea, but the inherent distrust of the locals makes it fall down. They seem to think he’s trying to rob them, or simply being rude!

But those open minded folks who understand his aims seem genuinely thrilled to be included. If only everyone was relaxed enough to enjoy the gesture!
