People driving through a neighborhood in Detroit called the police to report a crime- not knowing that the guns were fake and the scene was part of a movie shoot.
Another stupid cop story? Not quite.
Apparently the director of this independent movie couldn’t get his permit approved by the city due to “politics.” Not that that isn’t true, but isn’t toting guns (fake or real) in one of the most dangerous cities in the United States is kind of asking for trouble?
The cops did what they were supposed to do in this situation and luckily no one got hurt. As for the director, well, he’s got some really great bonus features to put on his DVD now.
