Last week Matt Corby scored the first touchdown of the Australian Idol season. This week the equally sexy Daniel Mifsud became the second singer to earn this ultimate compliment.

Daniel did it with a surprising rendition of Kiss’ I Was Made for Loving You. This slowed down ballad bared little resemblance to the rocking original, but allowed the song’s romantic lyrics to shine.

Judge Mark Holden was so impressed by this clever interpretation he couldn’t resist giving Daniel the second touchdown of the year.

Last week Daniel found himself amongst the dreaded bottom three. This performance ensured he won’t be in the firing line this time.
