I grew up in a town with a rather strange name that few people could pronounce, and when I was younger I thought it was the pits. But it could have been worse. I could have grown up in a town named Dildo.

Believe it or not, there is a town in Newfoundland that is named Dildo. Obviously the word didn’t have the meaning when they named the town that it does today. I personally can’t imagine why they wouldn’t want to change it, but there were plenty of residents that didn’t. And the name is the same to this day.

You’ve gotta love the shot close to the beginning of the clip where the reporter is standing next to the Dildo sign, with its arrow pointing right at him. That’s classic.
