Sure, the man’s a prick sometimes, but Trump is constantly looking out for New York City when it comes to real estate. Take this clip example, where he calls the new Freedom Towers being built in place of The World Trade Center a “pile of junk.”
Looking at the design, I’d have to agree with him.
“If we build the Freedom Tower, the terrorists win!” Trump says. That’s a bit over exaggerated, but he does make a point. Even though the design was chosen democratically, it has been unpopular with the public.
It’s been 8 years since the 9/11 attacks have taken place and ground zero looks as dismal as it ever did. The idea for a park better than any previous New York park sounds like a better symbol for America than the designs for Freedom Towers.
