After sweeping through France, the Dukan Diet is coming to the U.S. This video outlines the basics you need to know about how the Dukan Diet purports to work.
I have to say I think this is just like all those other diets out there, such as Atkins, the F-Plan, and South Beach. All of them require you to artificially reduce the consumption of some food groups while upping others.
Surely it’s better to follow a simple diet plan which follows basic tenets such as eat less and exercise more, because those are the ones which allow you to lose weight slowly and surely, and hopefully consistently.
I’m not saying the Dukan Diet is necessarily bad for you, and if it helps even one person lose weight in the long term then it’s worthy. But I don’t think it’s for me, personally.
