Apple continues to hold its rabid fanbase in the palm of its hand by offering upgrades to its product lines each year. The latest upgrades were unveiled at WWDC, and the new MacBook Pro was the big news.

There would be few people who could argue against the aesthetics here, both in terms of the hardware design and of the Retina Display, but beyond that is the new MacBook Pro really all that exciting?

If the new MacBook Pro was priced fairly, at least under $1000 then I’d want one. But it’s priced at $2199. Which is an absolute joke in my humble opinion. I’d rather buy two fantastic Ultrabooks for that money.
