I’m a huge film fan, usually going to the cinema a few times a month and watching a DVD almost every night. But there are some movies that you finish watching and wonder why you just wasted two hours of your life.

While Forrest Gump isn’t one of those in my opinion, it is a little overlong and drawn out. Which makes this video essential viewing for anyone who doesn’t want to bother sitting in front of their TV for the duration.

It shows the whole plot of the film in just one minute. It’s shot in one take and then slightly sped up to get it all over quicker. I wonder how many times they filmed this only to get one thing wrong and have to start over?

This video was made for Empire’s Films in 1 minute, and I wonder if there may be some scope here for an extended project. Up the budget slightly and film 60 of the damn things and you have a TV program I’d love to watch.

It’d sure beat the reams of reality television shows we’re currently subjected to.
