Four police officers, three men and one woman, were shot and killed at a café on Sunday while they were going about their regular work.
Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer appears to have no doubt that the shootings were targeted, as no robbery took place and no other café patrons were hurt or threatened in the incident.
Given that the officers were in full uniform, it would not have been hard for the shooters to identify their intended targets.
More information, including the victims’ names, will be released along with other findings as soon as the families of the victims have been notified.
