If you’ve ever had surgery, maybe this question has crossed your mind: What does the anesthetist do once the patient is asleep? The answer, according to this song (which is, in case you’re wondering, to the tune of “Total Eclipse of the Heart”), is that you’re probably better off not knowing.

Like the rest of us, I suppose anesthetists do get bored when they are standing around idly at work. And I imagine if I heard the incessant beeping of a heart monitor day in and day out, it would make me want to go to sleep unless I kept myself occupied.

But, reading the paper and playing Sudoku? That could be slightly hazardous to the guy lying on the operating table. Oh well, this song is just a silly parody. I hope.
