Bill Burr sometimes tells edgy jokes. He doesn’t set out to offend, but that doesn’t stop people from choosing to take offence from time to time.
In this video Burr tells Conan O’Brien about how a simple joke about not all members of the military are equal in terms of heroism caused one guy to lose it.
I don’t always find Bill Burr funny. He’s a little shouty for my British sensibilities. However, I do support his mission to carry on telling jokes that may offend.
This joke is a classic example. You can choose to be offended, or you can choose to laugh at a wry observation that isn’t harming anyone.
