Funny “Flight of the Conchords” Soul Spoof | “Issues (Think About It)”

23 sec read

Here’s another brilliant song parody from the Flight of the Conchords crew. This time around they’re spoofing socially conscious soul music.

We’ve all heard songs like this, with mellow grooves and lyrics about society’s injustices. They were so popular in the 60s and 70s, but few modern soulsters seem to sing about today’s hardships. That is, until now.

This track may just be the What’s Going On? of our generation. Jermaine and Brett sing about the nasty monkey diseases we can catch on the streets, and the high price of sweatshop sneakers in this hilarious ditty.

These guys make me want to laugh and sing along all at the same time.
