Today (February 13th) is Galentine’s Day. And I must admit this is the first year I’ve become aware that such a day even exists.
For the uninitiated, Galentine’s Day is dedicated to ladies celebrating ladies, and it’s an unofficial holiday that grows every year.
This video shows the origin of Galentine’s Day, which is the American sitcom, Parks and Rec. Galentine’s Day featured heavily in a Season 2 episode, and it has since morphed into an actual day.
Some American stores have actually started selling Galentine’s Day merchandise. And if there’s money to be made then this holiday is here to stay.
