You’ve probably seen the loud and proud Internet Explorer 9 commercial by now. It’s everywhere, on the Web, on television, even in movie theaters. But is it an accurate portrayal of the IE experience?

This video shows an alternate reality, one that the creators feel is a more honest version of the ad.

It shows Internet Explorer 9 struggling to buffer the HD video, Windows crashing, viruses being downloaded, and all manner of other things going wrong with the machine and the browser.

I’ll be honest and admit I haven’t used IE for years, switching to Firefox and sticking with it through thick and thin. It would take a miracle for me to return to Internet Explorer, even if these issues are clearly exaggerated for entertainment purposes.
