I’ve definitely had some good reasons for calling out of work in the past, but nothing beats getting murdered and burned to death, as we hear in this news anchors goof when he forgot to pause between subjects.
I had to listen twice to get the gist of what happened here, but basically it appears someone forgot to put a “period” on the teleprompter and this anchor read right through the first and second topic making them sound like it was all related to the same person.
“Dana is off tonight; he was murdered and then set on fire while celebrating his birthday.” That definitely is a good excuse to miss work if I ever heard one.
