Ryan Gosling makes amazing movies, and a lot of them have the same kind of vibe going on. The films are beautifully shot, and his characters are both intense and contemplative.
So, while hosting Saturday Night Live, Ryan Gosling made a fake film starring a character who hates Avatar. For no other reason than the font used for the posters.
We see Gosling’s character tying himself up in knots over the use of papyrus, a standard font which is almost as annoying as comic sans.
As with all of the best short films there’s even a twist. This is essentially a trailer for a longer film titled Papyrus, and the filmmakers have used comic sans as the font for that title. Genius.
