Video games are only very loosely based on real life, and I’m really thankful for that. As is every bad guy ever. For proof see video above.

There are obviously some games not based in reality at all, but even those which are have bent the rules out of shape. Just look at shooters, which see you trading bullets with a foe for a while before either one goes down.

This video sketch shows such a game from the perspective of the bad guys. They finally take the protagonist down, only to see him disappear before their eyes and then start shooting at them again.

This made me realize how crap games would be if they did follow real life more. One bullet to the gut and you’d go down. Game Over. How frustrating would that be?!
