Aged 70, Paul Benedict was found dead in Martha’s Vineyard and according to his brother, authorities are still investigating the cause of death.

As well as for his role as The Mad Painter on Sesame Street, Benedict was know for his roles as English neighbor Bentley in The Jeffersons and the oddball director in Goodbye Girl.

He’s probably most well known for his role on The Jeffersons – and was mistaken as British because of it – because he was on there for nearly ten years.
