This is a teaser trailer for the new HBO series Game Of Thrones. It’s based on the A Song Of Ice and Fire series of books by George R.R. Martin.

This video may only be 22-seconds-long, but that’s enough to build anticipation. The first episode, Winter Is Coming, debuted last night in the U.S., and the reviews of it appear to be mixed.

While I like most of the cast, there is one exception: Sean Bean. This is one actor who I can’t fathom how he has done so well. I just hope he doesn’t bring Game Of Thrones down by his very appearance.

The main writer for the TV adaptation, David Benioff, jokingly referred to the series as “The Sopranos in Middle-Earth,” but that seems pretty fitting to me. If I was HBO I’d use that as the real tagline.
