The global recession is definitely taking hold, with every country finding their economies going downhill. But has it also started affecting individuals like you and I?

This poet/performance artist thinks so, and here he is reading a piece entitled The Cost Of Hope Is Getting Higher. It seems even dreams are out of my price range now too.

The guy goes by the name of kermitthetoad, and has his own YouTube channel for posting performances of his poetry. The quality of filming isn’t that hot but the material is highly thought provoking.

I dip my toe in to writing poetry every now and again but have never thought of performing one live, but then again mine are meaningless drivel compared to people who know what they’re doing.
