I’ve always wondered what the phrase “working like a dog” meant. Don’t our pampered pooches just sit about in handbags and visit doggy cafes for puppycinos? Jesse the Jack Russell bucks the trend, working hard to keep his household in order.

This dog truly is incredibly, and really quite useful. No one really needs a dog to play dead or roll over. But fetching newspapers, closing cupboards and drawers, turning down beds, and packing the dishwasher? They’re some skills that any family needs!

I imagine Jesse’s owners are spending a lot of time sitting on the couch while the dog looks after them. And why not?
