“Spear phishing,” “denial-of-service attacks,” “botnets;” if none of these terms sound familiar to you then you’ll need to watch McAfee’s new documentary web series ‘H*Commerce’ before it’s too late.

You may be surprised how often and easily cybercrimes are committed.

H*Commerce, or business of making money through illegal hacking and scamming, has skyrocketed. In the last two years, almost $8.5 billion was vitually taken out of the pockets of Americans, and this figure is expected to only increase in the future.

The series may be directed by Seth Gordon, the man behind the Vince Vaugh comedy Four Christmases, but this documentary is no laughing matter. Each episode interviews former hackers, internet scam counselors, and computer forensics experts to discuss the history of various internet scams and how to prevent them.
