Headphones for cats are real but really expensive and absolutely pointless.

In what I can only assume is a viral marketing campaign, Sol Republic has teamed up with Professor Meowingtons (the cat belonging to DJ Deadmau5) to introduce headphones for cats.

These headphones are just a smaller version of Sol Republic’s Tracks on-ear headphones, but that hasn’t stopped the company slapping a huge price tag of $999 on them, with just 10 available to buy.

The comedy video introducing the headphones for cats is quite funny, with a shopping channel presenter demonstrating the product while being increasingly affected by his cat allergy.
