Jim Gaffigan – that guy who always looks familiar but you can’t quite place where you have seen him – performs a hilarious stand up routine about food, obesity, and overindulgence.
And he’s absolutely right on some points, which is what makes it so funny. Indeed, fruit cake is an entirely nasty cake of bad surprises.
Jim does an excellent job of transitioning from one related subject to another. Obesity, indulgence, cake… You can’t talk about obesity or food without talking about cake.
And yes, it was only so long before someone looked at a cake and thought, “Hey, this needs some liquor!”
