Afroman, who found fame with his hit song Because I Got High in the year 2000, has been arrested for punching a fan during a gig in Biloxi.

He was later released, but may still face charges over the incident, which saw a female fan get hit with some force.

Afroman punched the drunk woman across the stage after she danced a little too close to him while he was performing. She ended up landed awkwardly, but is thought to be OK.

The musician has apologized for the incident, blaming anxiety, and claiming not to know the woman was standing there when he threw the punch.

This video shows the punch from various angles, just in case you don’t believe what you’re seeing the first time.
