How Music Videos Are Edited Video | Tom Scott Uses Cool Techniques

23 sec read

Tom Scott makes fun educational videos. And this is another fun educational video. However, to demonstrate how music videos are edited, Scott borrows music video directors’ techniques.

The result is an educational video made to look like a music video. Complete with dancers, lip-syncing, and a leaf blower (playing the part of a wind machine).

It’s fascinating to see how these simple techniques can transform anything into something resembling a music video. Just minus the singing.

The problem with this, as is often the case with Tom Scott’s videos, is that I’ll never be able to watch a music video the same way again.
