Obama’s speech to school children, which was given earlier this week, was chastised by many. Not only was it called “socialist” by FOX News, but a sizable amount of school districts refused to show the speech.

Howard Stern, as he often does about ridiculous matters, decided to go on a 7 minute rant about the speech on his radio show. “This is a racial thing…I don’t care what anybody says,” he states.

Why giving a ’stay in school’ speech is controversial still baffles me. Still a high school student when the Twin Towers fell down, I remember seeing exactly what the caller portrayed at the 3:23 mark. People were committing suicide on the news, yet no one was complaining about any “negative psychological effects.”

Perhaps the most important point brought up in the clip was that of George Bush and his many talks he gave to elementary schools. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have a former ‘A’ student give talks to my children than a ‘C’ one.
