I’m one of those people who can give myself over to a movie completely, rarely questioning its plausibility no matter how many twist and turns it takes.

My husband’s not like me at all. He’ll often ask those simple questions, like “Why don’t they just use their cell phone?” The answer is simple. The movie would be a whole lot shorter and less interesting, as this montage shows!

If Forrest Gump had his cell, he would have found out Jenny just lived around the corner from the bus stop at the start and we would have never heard his story.

If Kevin McAllister had a cell phone in Home Alone, his forgetful parents would have told him to go to a friend’s house and he would never have foiled those burglars.

This video reminds us why the film world is perfect, just the way it is.
