As absurd as it may seem, this tradition has apparently been going on for 500 years. Villagers say that no baby has ever suffered serious injuries doing it. Still, you have to wonder where this idea came from.
Who in their right mind would come up with such an idea? Just because it’s a cultural tradition, it doesn’t mean that it’s right. Then again, there have been more reported deaths resulting from baptism.
