I can’t help but think of old Alfred Hitchcock’s creepy horror flick, Birds, when I watch this video. I half expect these birds to turn evil and begin dive bombing the cameraman.

When they don’t, I realize that this is some pretty awesome footage of these birds’ flock patterns. I don’t understand how they avoid running directly into each other, and am in awe at how quickly and effortlessly they change direction together.

The eerie part comes back again when the flock of birds becomes so thick they actually blemish the sky, if not completely causing a total blackout. What are they doing? What is the purpose of this mad flying about? I guess I need a pee-brain sized head and a beak to know the answer to that question.
