True Detective is back for a second season, with a whole new cast and storyline for us the viewers to wrap our heads around.

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have departed, being replaced with Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn. Which is a slightly odd pairing if you ask me.

Still, this trailer, likely the first of many to be revealed between now and the show airing on June 21, does a good job of setting the tone for Season 2. Which looks dark and intense.

True Detective is one of the best shows of the last few years, and the second season looks like continuing where the first left off.
