A place where preschool is about learning to make friends, having fun and making learning fun instead of forced? What craziness is this?

I want to move to Sweden. For my future children’s sakes.

It is interesting the kind of training we grow up with. While I was watching this video and marveling at the alternative teaching and learning procedures, there was still that niggle in the back of my mind asking, “They really didn’t learn to read until six or seven?”

I do love the system they have. Other places it’s about testing and being where the government says you’re supposed to be in terms of ability. Sweden looks like it genuinely cares about the individuals – not the test scores.
