Apple has released iOS 8, and anyone with a newish iDevice — the iPhone 4s and up, the iPad 2 and up, the iPod touch (fifth generation) — will be able to download and install it.

There is one thing to consider when installing iOS 8: while the install is only 1.1GB, up to 6.9GB is required to complete an over-the-air (OTA), meaning you may have to delete apps and personal files before commencing.
Still, it’s a small price to pay, and the only price to pay, as Apple is giving iOS 8 away for free to anyone with a compatible device. Bargain!
