It’s St. Patrick’s Day this Saturday (March. 17), and what better way to celebrate all things Irish than by getting mortally drunk on Guinness and whisky. By eating corned beef and cabbage, apparently.

This is a traditional Irish dish, as can be seen by the above video of it being prepared by a true Irishman. Alongside downing Guinness and pretending to be a leprechaun. Way to dispel the stereotypes.

What amazes me about St. Patrick’s Day is the way everyone gets involved, whether they’re Irish or not. I just see it as an excuse to drink copious amounts of Bushmills and Jameson.

As for the corned beef and cabbage, it doesn’t appeal to me personally. It may be the most delicious thing ever served up, but the visuals put me off.
