It’s May 1st. Or at least it was when I wrote this. You may be reading it in September, for all I know. But I digress.
May 1st has become synonymous with NSYNC, the terrible boy band which spawned Justin Timberlake and loads of other non-entities whose names you can’t remember.
The May 1st/NSYNC connection is because of “It’s Gonna Be Me”, which, when sung by Timberlake, sounds like “It’s Gonna Be May”. And that’s it.
Still, this simple meme has grown over the years. And now people are doing parody versions of the song, but all about May. As you can see in this video featuring parents embarrassing their kids.
