This is Jacob Lusk performing A House Is Not A Home, a classic song recorded by both Luther Vandross and Dionne Warwick. He’s one of the favorites of the American Idol Top 12.

Maybe I’m hearing something than everyone else, but I don’t think this is all that good. There are some good moments, where he hits the right notes and sounds OK, but overall I was not impressed.

I could not listen to his voice for long, and certainly not for a whole album. And seeing as that is what happens when someone wins I kind of hope Jacob Lusk goes home quite soon.

Then again, as I’m in the U.K. I haven’t seen who he is up against. So it could be that he’s the best singer on offer. If so then American Idol is really scraping the barrel this time around.
