There’s one in every reality TV competition; the Teflon contestant that seems to coast through against the odds. In this season of The X Factor Australia, that contestant is Johnny Ruffo.

He’s very pretty and he can dance up a storm, but for weeks he’s struggle to stay on pitch. However with this performance of Stevie Wonder’s “Sir Duke” it all came together.

I never imagined I’d name a Johnny Ruffo performance as the best of the night, but on a lackluster evening this underdog shone. Despite my pleas we haven’t been able to get rid of the guy yet. And after this, I’m pretty sure he’ll stick around for another week.
