I love me some Jon Bon Jovi. I’ve adored him since I was small, buying every album and even sitting through some of his terrible films. Even enduring Moonlight and Valentino didn’t dampen my enthusiasm for the man. But this ad for Advil does.

Does anyone really want to imagine Jon Bon all achy and ill? It doesn’t quite work with his ageless, charismatic rock god image now, does it?

And then there’s that matter of selling out. Rock and roll’s always been about railing against the man, not spruiking the products of a major corporation.

At least he still looks pretty!
