The gay marriage issue has again been in the spotlight ever since the passing of Proposition 8. To a progressive person like myself the idea of banning gay marriage seems absurd. Yet for every liberal, there’s a Mike Huckabee.

This video from The Daily Show sees Jon Stewart go head-to-head with the Republican candidate on this controversial issue.

To be fair on Mike, he doesn’t do a bad job here. He doesn’t do anything to change my mind, but he does acquit himself with grace and respect.

But Jon Stewart is brilliant here. He gets to the crux of the issue with compelling points and a healthy dose of humor. Neither side budged on their views, but this interview is one of the best debates about the issue I’ve seen.
