It’s been a couple days since April 15th, but now that the Anti-Tax Tea Parties have died down it’s become very clear that the movement was not a grassroots movement.

Simply by using logic, Jon Stewart proves that Fox was behind the whole thing.

A quick glance at this clip makes it apparent that Fox news was a little too involved with these protests. As Jon points out, no one really likes paying taxes- crowds will gather for that any day. However, many of these protesters probably don’t realize Obama’s Recovery and Reinvestment Act cuts $288 billion in taxes.

Since all of the money from the stimulus plan benefit those that make under $250,000, there really isn’t any reason for these middle class people to protest; except maybe to support Fox commentators. In hindsight, I’d say these “Tea Parties” were more like gatherings for Fox news lovers who think Obama is a socialist.
