When my friends and I were watching this fight in amazement that someone had taken Kimbo Slice beyond the first round, we couldn’t help but keep talking about his opponent’s creepy, super-puffy ear.
From the very beginning his opponent, James Thompson, had a strangely swollen ear, even so for a “boxer,” as most have strangely deformed ears. But as the fight continued, the ear kept getting bigger and bigger and more distracting, and perhaps Kimbo saw it as an opportunity, and he punched it and it just popped.
It is actually pretty disgusting, and my friend had to turn her head and my husband went running out of the room, but I was glued to the TV watching this guy’s creepy ear explode with Kimbo’s punch and just start oozing blood. Weird and gross!
