Indie web series’ always tend to have a little more heart than their big-budget counter parts. ‘Leaving Bliss,’ of course, no exception.

“I wrote, produced, casted, helped edit, created the website, etc… I’ve never felt so passionate about anything I’ve ever worked on,” says the series creator Shanna Micko.

Shanna plays the lead character Patience Owen, a sweet drama dork who leaves her small hometown for big Hollywood dreams. However, the inner city cut-throat world of acting proves to be much harder than her high school drama teacher ever told her.

Still, in spite of her pessimistic family, she tries to make the best of every situation; whether she’s sexually harassed or having her wallet stolen. The combination of awkward ignorance and innocence makes each 6-minute webisode funny in a quirky way.
