Lewis Black is one guy not afraid of tackling the big issues; the issues likely to cause offense. In fact, that’s his act. And he doesn’t care what you think so long as you’re listening.
American comedian Lewis Black is a love him or hate him type of guy. Some people will watch 30 seconds of his act and want to either walk out or kill him in some horrible way, while others will “get” it and love him as a result.
I’m in the latter camp, and this is one of my favorite parts of his act. It’s true that the United States is the only country on Earth which delights in telling everyone else it’s the best, it’s the greatest, it’s number one.
This implies a nation of people with a superiority complex. Maybe because it’s a relatively young country. Whatever the reason, it’s funny to see the truth spelled out to an audience of Americans. Most of whom thankfully take it well.
